A subscription is for the parts you hand to a decision-maker or a reviewer: the dated, cited, exportable Screening Report, saved-area monitoring, and direct API / MCP access — unlimited while subscribed.

Coverage is Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Yukon only (Yukon covers designated historic sites plus First Nation Heritage Sites and Routes recognised under the Final Agreements). Federal designations everywhere in those provinces, plus provincial and municipal heritage registers, and archaeological-potential mapping in AB, ON and Montréal. A site outside them will screen as “not indicated” simply because it isn't covered yet — not because it's clear. More provinces are on the roadmap.

Common questions

A few things worth knowing

Which provinces are covered?: Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Yukon. That means federal heritage designations in those provinces; the Alberta Listing of Historic Resources and provincial register; the Ontario Heritage Trust register and ~35 municipal registers; Quebec's Répertoire du patrimoine culturel (heritage immovables and sites classified by the Minister or cited by municipalities, and areas of protection), plus Montréal's municipal heritage sectors and secteurs d'intérêt archéologique; Nova Scotia's provincial Registered Heritage Properties plus the Halifax municipal register; Manitoba's Provincial and Municipal Heritage Sites plus the City of Winnipeg's Historical Resources; Yukon's Designated Historic Sites and the First Nation Heritage Sites and Routes recognised under the Final Agreements; and archaeological-potential mapping for AB, ON and Montréal. The rest of the country isn't in scope yet — a site there reads as “not indicated” because there's no data, which is not the same as a clean result. BC, Saskatchewan and Atlantic Canada are on the roadmap.
Is the free screening limited or a teaser?: No. The on-screen verdict, the nearby heritage records with distance, the districts, and the archaeological potential are all shown in full, free, for any AB / ON site. What's paid is the exportable, dated, cited report with regulatory guidance and a coverage statement, plus monitoring and direct API / MCP access.
How does billing work?: A recurring monthly subscription through Groundwork, which handles identity and billing for the whole product family. Manage or cancel it from your account page.
Can I hold Heritage without Groundwork?: Yes. A Groundwork account can carry the Heritage entitlement, the Groundwork entitlement, or both — a customer can hold Heritage on its own.
What happens if I cancel?: The report export, monitoring, API, and MCP access stop when the subscription lapses. The free screening tool is never affected.
